How do you make space for friends with limited free time?
Updated · 2 min read
With limited time, choose a bounded meetup near your routine and explain when you need to leave. You do not need an entire free afternoon: a clear invitation lets the group decide whether that format suits them.
How do you calculate the actual time needed?
Count travel there, the meetup and travel back. For example, 20 minutes there, 60 for coffee and 20 back is 100 minutes, not one hour. These are illustrative times: check your route and add the buffer you need. If the plan ends away from the start, check the return from that point before joining.
What can you suggest for a short time window?
- A 45–60 minute coffee in a public place with an agreed finish time.
- A short walk starting and finishing at the same point.
- A conversation after an activity you already attend, asking whether others want to join.
- An invitation for one specific date, without automatically committing to every week.
How do you say you need to leave early?
“I can stay from 5 to 6 and then need to leave. If that works, I would like to join.” Say it before confirming. Briefly mention it on arrival so leaving is not seen as an unexpected change. You do not need to explain private responsibilities or ask permission to leave.
How do you choose which plans to repeat?
Afterwards, consider whether you enjoyed the activity and the overall time was manageable. An enjoyable plan that is hard to repeat can remain occasional. LoopClub is in development to support neighbourhood and interest-based plans, but cannot guarantee dates, journeys or groups will fit your schedule.
Frequently asked questions
Can a short meetup be useful?
It can give you space to talk and decide whether you want to repeat it. No minimum duration guarantees a friendship.
Do I have to justify my schedule?
No. Explain your availability and let the group decide whether it fits. You do not need to detail work, family or other commitments.
Does LoopClub fit plans into my calendar?
We do not present that as a feature. The app is in development; choosing a neighbourhood does not mean calendar integration.
Where LoopClub fits
LoopClub is in development and is not available in the app stores yet. It is designed for women aged 18+ in Buenos Aires: plans by neighbourhood and interests, identity verification and group chat. You can already use this website’s guides. We cannot guarantee friendships, attendance or safety at a meetup.
