What is a plan’s group chat for in LoopClub?
Updated · 2 min read
LoopClub’s group chat is implemented to coordinate a plan’s participants: confirm the meetup, report delays and communicate changes. The app is still in development; this website does not provide chats or member messaging.
What should you confirm in the chat?
- One clear version of the date, time and public meeting point.
- The coordinator and confirmed attendance.
- Agreed cost and any preparation.
- Weather, booking or venue changes with new confirmations.
- Delays or absences without exposing private reasons.
What information does not need to be posted?
You do not need to send identity documents, home addresses or live location to report a delay. Ask before sharing someone else’s photo or contact. Verification happens through its own flow, not by posting an ID to the group. A plan chat does not make messages suitable for publishing elsewhere.
How do you reduce confusion when something changes?
Write a new summary of changes and request explicit confirmation when attendance is affected. Avoid scattering updates across separate messages, with a new time in one reply and a venue in another. Being in the group does not mean someone saw or accepted a change.
What are the chat’s limits?
Chat helps coordination but cannot guarantee attendance, privacy against screenshots or an immediate team response. We do not present it as an emergency channel or translation feature. When the app is published, check the current rules and blocking or reporting functions.
Frequently asked questions
Can I join a chat through this website?
No. This website provides public content; the project’s chats belong to the app, which is still in development.
Must I send my ID to the group?
No. Do not share identity documents in chat. Verification has a separate flow and does not require posting them to participants.
Does a chat message confirm a booking?
No. A message does not replace venue confirmation. The organiser should check arrangements and pass them to the group.
Where LoopClub fits
LoopClub is in development and is not available in the app stores yet. It is designed for women aged 18+ in Buenos Aires: plans by neighbourhood and interests, identity verification and group chat. You can already use this website’s guides. We cannot guarantee friendships, attendance or safety at a meetup.
